Calvary Christian Academy (CCA.) Preschool Department is an entity of Greater Mt. Calvary Holy Church. The operation of the department was developed from the vision of Bishop Alfred A. Owens, Jr. in1980. His vision to care for the spiritual, emotional, physical and academic development of children was executed by Co-Pastor Susie C. Owens, (former Director and present Executive Director) whose knowledge, skills and abilities in the area of early childcare were instrumental in the foundation of the preschool. Initially, the preschool began serving the needs of children from Nursery through Kindergarten age.

The preschool has since expanded its services to meet the needs of children from six weeks old through Pre-Kindergarten.

Calvary Christian Academy Preschool Department is licensed by the D.C. Department of Health Regulation Administration Child and Residential Care Facilities Division; accredited by the International Christian Accrediting Association (ICAA); and a member of the Oral Roberts Educational Fellowship located in Tulsa, OK.

Calvary Christian Academy Preschool Department integrates the A Beka Book and Bible Curriculum, Urban Ministries Sunday School Track and a variety of other age-appropriate study aides.

Calvary Christian Academy Preschool Department is licensed by the D.C.
